What Music Genre Fits Each Sun Sign

Maybe you like that old time rock n’ roll or just can’t get enough of Lady Gaga, but did you know that your zodiac sign could also influence your musical choices? Although musical tastes are very individualistic, if you’d like to expand your musical repertoire, take a look at the suggestions based on your Sun sign.

Aries

No laid back 70’s soft rock ballads for you. An active person like you needs music that keeps up with your pace. Anything with a good backbeat is likely to please you. That means upbeat pop, rock and jazz. You might also like to expand your choices and try funk or Latin jazz.

Taurus

Ruled by Venus, you’ve got an inborn appreciation for music. You’ll gravitate towards a variety of rhythms and genres, but may end up listening to earthy music featuring Native American drums or laid back Reggae tunes. You also like to tap your feet or move as you listen.

Gemini

Music is as much a conversation piece as a listening experience for you. Learning and talking about your favorite artists is as pleasurable as listening to the music. You also like to dance so you’ll appreciate any music that makes you move, including house music and country two-step.

Cancer

An emotional sign, you have a soft spot for home and hearth, which might show up in your music choices. You could find yourself listening to oldies that you remember from childhood or even music from your grandparents’ era.

Leo

As the attention seeker of the zodiac, you might appreciate belting out a show tune or doing karaoke. For your listening pleasure however, you like music with drama and punch. Heavy metal is a possibility, but so are opera and the classical works of Beethoven.

Virgo

Of all the signs, you are most likely to appreciate the sounds of nature as your music. Soothing peaceful tunes do well to calm your nervous system, which has a tendency to run on overdrive. New Age music, classical Renaissance and easy listening music will mellow you out.

Libra

You can be pretty trendy when it comes to tunes and may be able to spot the next YouTube sensation. Like Taurus, you’re also ruled by Venus and can appreciate a wide selection of styles. Great vocalists like Adele, Aretha, Frank Sinatra or Michael Buble might also appeal to you.

Scorpio

Often a man or woman of mystery, you like music that is deep. Complex melodies are likely to grab your interest. Consider trying some avant-garde jazz or electronic music. You’re also a romantic deep down inside and won’t mind a few sappy love ballads either.

Sagittarius

World music might appeal to you and your sense of wanderlust. Try some Middle Eastern, Indian or Caribbean dance rhythms to make you feel free. Or just grab some classic rock, put it in your car’s audio player and go on a drive just for fun.

Capricorn

Your taste in music is fairly mainstream and you can appreciate a variety of styles. Many Capricorns are history buffs and you might find music from a particular historical period to be quite fascinating and pleasurable. Try medieval music, early American folk, blues or 1920’s jazz.

Aquarius

You march to your own tune and might have fun composing your own music. Otherwise your tastes run the gamut: world music, hip-hop, R&B, classical, jazz, pop and more. As the futurist of the zodiac you might like electronica and other forms of experimental music.

Pisces

Music serves as an escape for you. It can be mystical and take you to faraway places. Dreamy New Age music can help your imagination soar. Many Pisces like to dance; so a little classic disco can get you moving while giving you a taste of 70’s fun and glamour.

I do listen to all genres of music, depending on my mood. One day I'll be dancing on some crazy pop or house songs, and the next I'll be listening to a melancholic Mahler piece.

I thought your choices of music for the various signs was spot on. The reason why Pisces likes to dance, of course, is because Pisces rules the feet! Also, being the last sign, it takes a little from each of the proceeding signs and, therefore, has the potential of liking any number (or ALL) of their preferences...

I'm pretty much like Madalina here; I like a wide variety of music genres, ranging from country, pop and rock to classical and blues. It really depends on my mood.

It is right that I as cancer like to listen to old stuff but I wouldn't necessarily say I like soft music because I prefer it loud and fast.

The only music I can't handle is the heavy metal.

I've never listened to Latin Jazz, but now I'm curious. I might like it. Yes, it's true that as an Aries I prefer music that cheers me up.

Ceres and Our Inner Emotional Life

Ceres connections in synastry can reveal how one person accepts (or doesn’t) their partner’s nurturing. “Nurturing” is defined as caring for someone, and fostering their growth. Ceres (or Demeter) is named after the Goddess of the crops. She had a daughter (Persephone) and they were close. So close, in fact, that Ceres never wanted to let her go. Then Pluto (or Hades) kidnapped Persephone and dragged her off to the Underworld. Ceres’ grief was intense. In retaliation, she denied mankind their food by making the crops wither and die; she was hurting, so everyone else would as well. A deal was eventually struck with Pluto, and Persephone was allowed to spend part of the year above ground, with her mother. This was when Ceres allowed the crops to grow. When Persephone spent the rest of the year below ground, the crops were dormant. So Ceres’ cycle of growth and loss reflects the cycle of life. In your chart, her sickle-shaped glyph describes how you handle that cycle.Aspects to Cer

When You Should Get Your Birth Chart Done

Have you ever gotten your 'chart done'? In the field of astrology, a 'chart' is a representation that demonstrates the position of the planets, Sun and moon at a particular moment in time. The position of each planet, its movement and relationship with other celestial bodies can give an astrologer insight as to the influences in play at that particular time. There are 5 times in life when you should consider having a chart drawn up. When You Discover Astrology Once you discover the field of astrology, it’s a worthwhile investment to get a natal chart done. Everyone’s chart is unique because a full chart deals with not just your birth date, but the specific minute and location of your birth. Essential Oils That are Harmful to Dogs.

On a Saturday night, a dog owner arrived home late and noticed that their dog was acting strange and did not recognize them. The owner initially thought that the dog was experiencing a night terror, but the odd behavior continued into Sunday. Upon realizing that a new diffuser had been running in the home, the owner turned it off, and the dog's condition improved on Sunday afternoon. However, the next day, the dog sitter reported that the animal was hiding under the bed and acting abnormally. The owner left work early to check on the dog and discovered that it was still disoriented and confused. The owner decided to take the dog to the emergency vet, where it was discovered that the tea tree oil used in the diffuser was toxic for dogs. Fortunately, the dog's liver was not damaged, but the animal required fluids to remove the toxins from its system. The vet and poison control specialists advised that they have seen an increase in similar cases as the use of essential oils grows
