Love Nostalgia
On December 21, 2013, the planet Venus went retrograde motion, for a period of five weeks ending on January 31, 2014. This makes this particular edition of the LoveScope a wee bit more meaningful.
During Venus Retrograde, all of us will be much more aware of how well our relationships are working - and if they aren’t, how to make adjustments in them during this time. Relationships can end and begin during a Venus retrograde, but if one starts, the duration might only be as long as the retrograde itself. And, old paramours could show up during this time, especially if there’s unfinished business!
Here’s what it might look like for each individual sign:
Aries: This is a particularly active month in regards to your career - you will literally be able to create your own destiny during this month! Regarding your relationships, the ones with your friends will come front and center this month - you’ll be reassessing them to see which are working for you and which aren’t. Most specifically, if you have friendships at work, you might have to re-look at some of them, especially those that might not feel right - because mixing friendships and work could be rather sticky because boundaries might need to be implemented.
Taurus: This is a good month for advancement in your professional life. In fact, you might have been looking for a promotion to happen, and it very well could. If it doesn’t, this means that there’s a bit more work to do to get where you want to be. Whatever happens, this is a time to acknowledge the work you’ve done, and how much you’ve accomplished. Not only that, you’ll likely get recognition that is due you, as well! If you’re going to date anyone, it might be someone you already know (maybe from your business?). Remember we’re still under Venus retrograde, so anything that comes at this time might be short-lived - but enjoy it anyway!
Gemini: A rather deep and reflective month for you - you won’t be feeling as zippy as you normally do. Life might feel a bit serious and sad, but don’t worry, its temporary - the universe is just asking you to do some inner work that will open new doors of awareness in you. As far as relationships - they will be a welcome distraction from all the serious stuff you’ll likely be dealing with this month. Find someone, maybe a goofy Sagittarius, to hang out with - they’ll keep you laughing when you need it most!
Cancer: Wow when it rains it pours - you’ve got relationships totally on the front burner this month! Something you really want, and that is to connect with friends and loved ones, as well as intimate partnerships. There is an underlying reason for wanting the attention - you haven’t been feeling very lovable lately. Just realize that Venus retrograde can be a tough time, where we all have to learn how to manufacture self-love in our own way. Remember your roots and your need to nurture. You really ARE lovable!
Leo: Even though Leo is loathed to work, this is the month of productivity! You’ll feel a lot of satisfaction and love for yourself in a whole new way - just by getting things done in good order! It feels like you’re doing a little spring cleaning before its actually spring! If so, you might be making room for that new relationship to start! Brand new clothes, cleaning up your life - this is all good! At work you’ll be loved and pampered as you always are, and will back in the glory of hard work - for, it won’t so much be your charisma and royal side that will impress - it will be your tenacity to help get the job done - not usual for a Royal, but a satisfying experience, none-the-less! You’re channeling Virgo this month!
Virgo: Oh its like you and Leo swapped energies this month! Leo’s been doing your job, and you are learning a little self indulgence from your neighboring sign, Leo. This is a time to create and let loose. A delightful time to do some constructive creative project that will set your heart to glowing. If you have children, some constructive getting down and playing is the activity for this month! If you have older children, they might be the central focus of your life for this month - in any case, this is a month to find some joy, and bringing a creative project from your imagination to the physical world. AND a little romance! Have fun!
Libra: All your focus this month will be away from the public eye - you’re more concerned with feeling comfort and connection to your home. Perhaps a little upheaval in your family at this time - but you’ll have the energy to weather it, in a way that can be constructive in breaking the boundaries down so that you, and those around you, will try and get through past emotional problems. Its after Christmas, and perhaps the home fires are burning stronger now - you are looking for comfort and stability within your own kin.
Scorpio: This is a really important month for you, making sure that you and everyone you know has been communicated with, completely and thoroughly. This is going to be the big prime directive this month - a lot of mental energy spent on ideas, thoughts and communication. If you have siblings, there might be things that need to be talked about. Plan on starting at least three books at the same time. With the Venus retrograde still in effect, you might have a visit from someone in the past that is a real brainiac. There won’t be a dull moment in your mind this month!
Sagittarius: Wow, this could be a financially lucrative month for you - a bunch of the planets are sitting in your money houses. The potential of having more money is very good - as well as an emphasis on consolidating your finances - look into investment programs and places where your money can make SLOW money. Nothing risky. Knowing Sag, you could maybe take off for parts unknown, but its best to be a little conservative with your money, and watch it grow.
Capricorn: This is your birthday month, and you’ve got a lot of activity going on in your own sign - so there is a lot of energy to be had - a time of taking care of yourself, and your needs being on the front burner. Looks like this could be a time for self-improvement - start a new plan of exercise, new activities - the operative word here is new. You won’t be wanting to do the same things over and over - you’ll have a very low threshold of boredom, and will want to keep your activities up. Also, if you’re thinking about a makeover - just DO it! This is a great time to change your looks and your wardrobe. Believe me, people will notice, too!
Aquarius: This is truly a month of secrets :) You aren’t going to want to show your affection openly, you want a secret romance where you and your loved one spend special time with each other, away from the eyes of the world. Why? Because things are going pretty well for you right now - at work, and play - but maybe sometimes we just need to have some private time with ourselves, and those close to us. You could very well have a very serious romance brewing, and you’re trying to figure out how to fit this new person into your life. Spend some time listening to music, so that you can maybe not feel so rigid in your thinking - spacing out CAN be fun
Pisces: You’ve got a lot of social engagements this month - and among them is a potential relationship that you’re trying to figure out what to do with it - keep it as friends, or move it to the next level? There’s romance around the corner with this person, but perhaps you’re not sure what tack to take to move it forward? Make sure you keep the playing field equal - if you both aren’t benefiting from it, or you don’t feel the others equal, it might be a good idea to let that possibility rest, and keep this person as a friend, only. In any case if something DOES brew, its going to be with someone you have as a friend, first.
