Weekly Horoscope: April 28, 2014

ARIES   (MARCH 21 - APRIL 20)
Any home based project or festivity will be much bigger, bolder and unwieldy than you expect. That is partially because you have such big plans, Aries. My advice is to tailor your expectations, time, ability and money. Once you have everything in a manageable size, go for the gusto and party until the cows come home. Or at least until your guest go home.

TAURUS   (APRIL 21 - MAY 21)
You have big ideas, Taurus. Give some of them room to grow and roam. This week you may get unexpected help from an unexpected source that upends your landscape and creates new paths for your big move. Weigh all advice and be choosy about which one you follow. Use a trusted source. Get out of your comfort zone but be sure there are guard rails..

GEMINI   (MAY 22 - JUNE 21)
Friends stress your budget and why not? You are ready to enjoy life and to splurge on every little thing. (No names please!) But all these little things quickly add up to big things soon enough. Then the bills come due. Don’t be feckless and reckless with your dough, Gemini. Save a little something for a rainy day. And don’t pack a pricey umbrella “just in case”!

CANCER   (JUNE 22 - JULY 23)
Prepare yourself for the public spotlight now. You are the center of attention, even if you don’t seek it or want it. The fates bring influential people to your door. So embrace your destiny and prepare your message. You can impress the powers-that-be with your knowledge and abilities. Changes are a foot for you professionally. And the first step is a doozy, Cancer.

LEO   (JULY 24 - AUGUST 23)
Any local effort will take on global proportions now. Your quiet energies and diligent deeds suddenly are the topic of conversation all over town and beyond. That is because, unbeknownst to you, there are people ready to post your ideas globally where they take root and grow. Enjoy the fame, Leo, before the tabloids get a hold of you. Then uh oh.

VIRGO   (AUGUST 24 - SEPTEMBER 23)
Mixing friendships with intimate relationships are not a great idea, Virgo, especially at this time. That is because things can very quickly get out of hand, get complicated and get a bit messy. Oh dear. So keep your hands to yourself while you go about your usual business. Enjoy pals as pals and lovers as lovers. Confusing? You bet.

LIBRA   (SEPTEMBER 24 - OCTOBER 23)
Your career suddenly takes off and you may find yourself spending more and more time around the office. This is great for your upward mobility but may place stress in other areas of your life. Be sure that you are able to balance business relationships with your personal relationships. One type of the other may tip your scales over, Libra. Whoops!

SCORPIO   (OCTOBER 24 - NOVEMBER 22)
Cool down and get mellow Scorpio. You have too much on your plate. All of your list of “to dos” can be put aside for a while as you decompress and vacation. If time and money are tight, find ways to relax closer to home. That could mean taking in a few movies or eating out. Anything that gets you on a slow simmer rather than a full boil will be delicious.

SAGITTARIUS   (NOVEMBER 23 - DECEMBER 22)
Your dance card is filling up and over flowing with lots of tantalizing invitations. Everyone wants you on their A list, Sagittarius. Which ones will you choose? Think carefully - Anything fun or creative has dramatic consequences. Did I say consequences? I meant results. But you have to know what you really want. Do you know what your really want?

CAPRICORN   (DECEMBER 23 - JANUARY 20)
Don’t be surprised if your home life takes a sudden turn that completely change certain relationships. Maybe you will join households. Or maybe not. Maybe you will decide to totally renovate. Or move. Whatever new twists and turns occur now, know that the fates do what needs to be done. Start checking the real estate listings for your next big move, Capricorn.

AQUARIUS   (JANUARY 21 - FEBRUARY 19)
Know that any careless remark, or offhand compliment or a quiet musing will permeate your office and take control of your day to day business. This is great if you are a calculating Aquarian who knows how to manipulate people to do their bidding. But it is also a warning to not be too clever or too sure that you can control your message now. Think it now. Say it in June.

PISCES   (FEBRUARY 20 - MARCH 20)
There are lots of opportunities to party hearty and many pals that get you access to glittering events for the up and comers. But all these fun times will cost much more than you could ever imagine, Pisces. It all seems so delightful, how can you possibly ask about the price? My advice - Let the good time roll but watch out for the bouncing check.

I usually speak my mind and sometimes I unknowingly offend others. So I will surely take more care with it this week.

Gee... I never get to go anywhere (I hear they have talkies now at the movies, though) so I'm really looking forward to all these "glittering invitations"!

I guess it's time to plan some careful parties, although I'm not much of a party animal.

Ceres and Our Inner Emotional Life

Ceres connections in synastry can reveal how one person accepts (or doesn’t) their partner’s nurturing. “Nurturing” is defined as caring for someone, and fostering their growth. Ceres (or Demeter) is named after the Goddess of the crops. She had a daughter (Persephone) and they were close. So close, in fact, that Ceres never wanted to let her go. Then Pluto (or Hades) kidnapped Persephone and dragged her off to the Underworld. Ceres’ grief was intense. In retaliation, she denied mankind their food by making the crops wither and die; she was hurting, so everyone else would as well. A deal was eventually struck with Pluto, and Persephone was allowed to spend part of the year above ground, with her mother. This was when Ceres allowed the crops to grow. When Persephone spent the rest of the year below ground, the crops were dormant. So Ceres’ cycle of growth and loss reflects the cycle of life. In your chart, her sickle-shaped glyph describes how you handle that cycle.Aspects to Cer

When You Should Get Your Birth Chart Done

Have you ever gotten your 'chart done'? In the field of astrology, a 'chart' is a representation that demonstrates the position of the planets, Sun and moon at a particular moment in time. The position of each planet, its movement and relationship with other celestial bodies can give an astrologer insight as to the influences in play at that particular time. There are 5 times in life when you should consider having a chart drawn up. When You Discover Astrology Once you discover the field of astrology, it’s a worthwhile investment to get a natal chart done. Everyone’s chart is unique because a full chart deals with not just your birth date, but the specific minute and location of your birth. Some people try to draw up their own natal charts using a website or book—and while this might give you an accurate plotting of the chart, only someone trained and experienced in astrology can truly interpret it. There is more to interpreting a chart than just reading a l

Essential Oils That are Harmful to Dogs.

On a Saturday night, a dog owner arrived home late and noticed that their dog was acting strange and did not recognize them. The owner initially thought that the dog was experiencing a night terror, but the odd behavior continued into Sunday. Upon realizing that a new diffuser had been running in the home, the owner turned it off, and the dog's condition improved on Sunday afternoon. However, the next day, the dog sitter reported that the animal was hiding under the bed and acting abnormally. The owner left work early to check on the dog and discovered that it was still disoriented and confused. The owner decided to take the dog to the emergency vet, where it was discovered that the tea tree oil used in the diffuser was toxic for dogs. Fortunately, the dog's liver was not damaged, but the animal required fluids to remove the toxins from its system. The vet and poison control specialists advised that they have seen an increase in similar cases as the use of essential oils grows
