Pluto's Transit to the Sun Triggers Inner Revolution

During this period of the month – approximately the middle of July – Pluto transits the Sun, deeply influencing the Cardinal signs of the zodiac: Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. In astrology, Pluto is unanimously accepted as the master of transformation, creating waves of change in our lives as Pluto’s energies impact us on a soul-deep level. Pluto forces us to face the darkest and most well-hidden parts of our inner selves, thus leading to a true inner revolution.

The energies of Pluto bring about important realizations about us in particular, and about the world and life in general. This is why oftentimes Pluto transits engender in us feeling of helplessness and powerlessness – we are forced to face ‘the dark’ in order to find light and to grow. Things change on a deeper level, inside of us, and with this shift of values, experiences, feelings, and so on comes close encounter with the unknown. However, the bright side of this rather turbulent inner transformation is that energies are released.

A Pluto transit is a process of elimination which involves us letting go of who we aren’t so that we may become who we truly are. In order to discover and to embrace our true selves, we have to accept things as they come, every change and every transformation, no matter how uncomfortable it may seem initially. We have to take chances, to experiment different things, to commit to new projects, habits, relationships, etc. Whatever we decide to focus on, Pluto brings its contribution, speeding up things and quickening any process.

During Pluto's transit, we should try to discover the root cause of our behavior. Why do we act the way we do? Why are we so attached to our decisions? Why aren’t we living in alignment with our inner universe, our values and dreams? Pluto transiting to the Sun purges useless informational baggage and makes us more receptive to our inner truth, getting to our instincts and engaging them. We just have to relax and gracefully deal with everything that Pluto sends our way, for everything is to our benefit (helping us to discover our higher self, our truth).

Pluto’s transformative energies don’t affect only our inner selves. Therefore, we should also focus on the physical aspect, on our bodies, so that Pluto’s impact on our lives may encompass all parts of our being and of our existence. The intense energy waves created by Pluto as it transits are best dealt with through physical exercise. Physical activity should be joined by a conscious effort to let go of what is superfluous or unnecessarily weighing us down. We have to leave the past behind, to embrace the present, and to start envisioning a brighter future, thus taking an important leap forward in our lives.

Pluto transiting to the Sun can unleash our creativity and personal power, leading to a change in how we see ourselves. The Sun’s light and nurturing energies help us purge social conditioning, and embrace instead our natural instincts. Taking charge of our lives and changing our self-image have a dramatic impact on our vitality – hint: it reaches a high level – and on our creative power. The influence of Pluto renders us more charming and ambitious. It also turns us into human-sized magnets: we attract the kind of people we like, the things we desire, and so on.

I have Pluto at my mid-heaven so, while not always pleasant, any transits are indeed profound.

Ceres and Our Inner Emotional Life

Ceres connections in synastry can reveal how one person accepts (or doesn’t) their partner’s nurturing. “Nurturing” is defined as caring for someone, and fostering their growth. Ceres (or Demeter) is named after the Goddess of the crops. She had a daughter (Persephone) and they were close. So close, in fact, that Ceres never wanted to let her go. Then Pluto (or Hades) kidnapped Persephone and dragged her off to the Underworld. Ceres’ grief was intense. In retaliation, she denied mankind their food by making the crops wither and die; she was hurting, so everyone else would as well. A deal was eventually struck with Pluto, and Persephone was allowed to spend part of the year above ground, with her mother. This was when Ceres allowed the crops to grow. When Persephone spent the rest of the year below ground, the crops were dormant. So Ceres’ cycle of growth and loss reflects the cycle of life. In your chart, her sickle-shaped glyph describes how you handle that cycle.Aspects to Cer...

Venus in Aquarius: What to Expect

What's Up:   Take note, Venus is in Aquarius from March 5th to April 5th in 2014.  The fresh air whirls around in love and friendship, with Venus in this air sign.  This follows a long, 'heavy' time with Venus in Capricorn (early Nov 2013 to March 5th).  The 2014 March forecast features Venusian behavior, with aspects that free relationships from deeply ingrained patterns.  A key word is freedom, to update our social lives, to align with who we've become and are becoming.  Social Buzz Venus has been under the influence of Saturn, the planet of responsibility while in Capricorn.  Now the love planet has some  breathing room  in this air sign--  what's favored is meeting others in a friendly, detached way. The Venus Aquarius  natives  are restless, and ready to break with convention.  The same tired way of engaging, stilted etiquette and the habits of being  politicall...

The Sun Signs and Friendship

Friendship is an essential part of our lives and sometimes friends matter more than our immediate family and its members. It is said that even the Devil has his own friends. In astrology the 11th house is said to rule friends and their relationships. Astrology gives much importance to relationships like spouses, partners or lovers but friendship related issues are usually shooed off. But in this age where divorce rates are going over the roof friendship is what makes people to remain glued together come what may. Apart from the 11th house, the 4th, 5th and the 7th houses also have their say in friendship. Some astrologers say that the 11th house is a social house. The 3rd-house friendships are with neighbors, the 4th house rules friends with whom we live and are part of the our family, 5th-house friendships are with people we go out and have fun with, 7th-house friends are particularly close and in a partnership, and 9th-house friendships are those we form in educational situatio...
