Pluto Moving through the Houses

When looking at Pluto transiting your chart, pair it with Uranus (Aries) in the Houses. The two in a historic square to 2015, are catalysts for a birth, and for some, there can be birth trauma. After all, this action happens at the very threshold of life and death. What's dying is making room for what's struggling to be born. See more about the Uranus-Pluto Square.
As Pluto does its clearing and authenticating, it's fertile ground for the creative surges of Uranus. Look to these houses for impressions, themes, points to focus your attention toward.
Power of Manifesting
Pluto has a fearsome reputation, because the changes it brings are so deep and total. And aren't we creatures that find comfort in the familiar? Pluto transits strip us to the core, where we rebuild on a foundation of something that feels real.
The ultimate end game of Pluto is maturity, acceptance and the wisdom that comes from living through a psychic death and rebirth. It's the inside-out change from facing core fears, and transforming wounds into greatest strengths -- and becoming wise old souls.
Pluto is in Capricorn, the cardinal earth sign, to the year 2023. This long transit is one for developing character. Pluto in Capricorn is about manifesting and magnifying your power by harmonizing with earth energies. And it's a transit when physical reality -- the structures of our lives -- are up for radical regeneration.

Pluto Capricorn in the First House: (House of Aries and Mars) Affectations picked up out of habit, are exposed as toxic behavior, and it's time to strip away these phony layers. Radical changes in style and body are possible, as overlays (superficial traits, body armor (fat) are eliminated. A visible transformation that others see, and which alters how they engage with you. Overhaul to self-image - character and confidence on the other side. Unlocking and expressing the power of what's unique about you.
Pluto Capricorn in the Second House: (House of Taurus and Venus) A test of your values and how much you invest in your own natural talents, possessions and sense of place. Getting to the heart of money beliefs -- where is flow and where is the energy backed up? Events possible that intensify fears about being able to provide for yourself and others. Big transformations to do with earning power. A revamping of what 'security' means, and trust in your own resilience, self-sufficiency.
Pluto Capricorn in the Third House: (House of Gemini and Mercury) The power of being true to your word. Wanting to go beyond surface-y exchanges, and talk about what's really going on. Extended research. Getting real with neighbors, cashiers, siblings, schoolmates, extended relatives. Bringing what's unspoken, into the discussion. Diffusing a loaded issue, by tossing it around in exchanges, with a dollop of (dark) humor. Detoxing the mental channels. Harnessing the power of the mind, for manifestation or to be a better communicator.
Pluto Capricorn in the Fourth House: (House of Cancer and the Moon) A friend with this transit is remodeling her home. Life-changing events related to home, real estate -- examples, foreclosure, moving in with family, buying or selling, moving house. Soul searching on emotional past, atmosphere growing up and the family. Going beyond oft-repeated family stories, and seeing deeper into the relating dynamics. Coming to terms with compulsions with roots in early life. Standing on new ground -- emotional strength.
Pluto Capricorn in the Fifth House: (House of Leo and the Sun) Becoming established as a creative person. Turning a pastime into your field of expertise. Rediscovering play and the pure joy of being alive. The legacy of childhood, and the power of what's passed on to children. Finding your unique self-expression, and a tangible medium to bring it out. The intensity of performance, sports and shining in a leadership role. Enjoyment becomes a revitalizing force in your life. The power of the heart, and momentum from being heart-led.
Pluto Capricorn in the Sixth House: (House of Virgo and Mercury or Chiron) An overhaul of work life. Getting to fundamental health issues. Taking responsibility for the whole self -- mind, body, spirit. Exploring healing modalities that go deeper. Turning away from toxins toward what's natural. Finding power to be a clean machine, in a polluted world. Dedication and service, volunteering or becoming a healer.
Pluto Capricorn in the Seventh House: (House of Libra and Venus) Naked relating -- getting to core realities about significant one-on-ones. Notions of self are challenged, when meeting the reality of the other. Any false assumptions about a relationship are peeled off, leading to deeper, more authentic understanding. The projections of the self -- illusions cast onto another -- are brought home, to be owned as the shadow. Endings and beginnings. More integration is possible, and the gift is 'real' relationships that endure.
Pluto Capricorn in the Eighth House: (House of Scorpio and Pluto) Brought into the mystery through death. Merging lives with another, or separating. Healing of deeply-seated energies of the psyche. Soul retrieval. Interest in what's hidden, taboo or highly controlled. Sexual trauma and/or healing. Being a presence in emergencies or times of crisis. Coming to terms with power struggles. Facing truths about manipulative behavior, emotional vampires, what drains lifeforce in general.
Pluto Capricorn in the Ninth House: (House of Sagittarius and Jupiter) Life-changing journeys of the mind (or to real locales). Becoming unplugged from overlay belief systems that don't allow for regeneration. Being revived by expansive philosophies. An intense experience with the law. Tests of the spirit and/or body that cover a lot of ground, like endurance sports, or challenging travel adventures. Events happen that force a widening of the big picture -- expansion of the mind, wising up.
Pluto Capricorn in the Tenth House: (House of Capricorn and Saturn) Intense career drive. Realizations about legacy -- are you in a field of endeavor that matches your soul-level mission? An exfoliation of the face of the self under social pressure. Power dynamics as mentor or parent. Coming out from under parental expectations, a drive for status, and an assumed career trajectory. The quest for a solid, self-authorized pathway that's fulfilling at the end of the day.
Pluto Capricorn in the Eleventh House: (House of Aquarius and Uranus) A purging of the friend list -- turning away from loosely connected, in favor of more meaningful, strategic alliances. The power of friendships that begin in real life. Moving in circles that inspire and widen your perspective. The power of the cutting edge, the radical (original, 'of the root) and revolutionary. Finding power from joining with others, for focused attention on what matters most.
Pluto Capricorn in the Twelfth House: (House of Pisces and Neptune) Pluto takes its light into the vast zones of the psyche usually veiled -- sometimes even to ourselves. Revelations become the norm, as what's been unconscious becomes conscious. A startling and miraculous time for wrapping up all the soul's loose ends, before Pluto begins another cycle. The past asks for forgiveness and understanding, altering the present. Emotional memories locked in the body are released, for tsunamis of healing.

I think we would all want to build more meaningful relationships, so I think it's great that Pluto's presence in my sign's House will be beneficial to my social life.

It looks like it would be a plus this year to have Pluto running through your house.

Intriguing, although it can be intimidating, it sounds like a lot of positive, much needed change is just around the corner!

My Second House begins at 5-degrees of Capricorn so that's where the progressed Pluto falls in my chart. I think I've identified the bottle-neck in my finances, though... It's called "unemployment". LOL!

It is always very powerful when Pluto is moving through your house, but big changes are also always great opportunities.

Dos it make a difference in Astrology that poor Pluto was downgraded as a Planet?

Interesting article. Even though people are usually afraid of changes, I think the fact that Pluto brings major changes in all areas is beneficial.

Ceres and Our Inner Emotional Life

Ceres connections in synastry can reveal how one person accepts (or doesn’t) their partner’s nurturing. “Nurturing” is defined as caring for someone, and fostering their growth. Ceres (or Demeter) is named after the Goddess of the crops. She had a daughter (Persephone) and they were close. So close, in fact, that Ceres never wanted to let her go. Then Pluto (or Hades) kidnapped Persephone and dragged her off to the Underworld. Ceres’ grief was intense. In retaliation, she denied mankind their food by making the crops wither and die; she was hurting, so everyone else would as well. A deal was eventually struck with Pluto, and Persephone was allowed to spend part of the year above ground, with her mother. This was when Ceres allowed the crops to grow. When Persephone spent the rest of the year below ground, the crops were dormant. So Ceres’ cycle of growth and loss reflects the cycle of life. In your chart, her sickle-shaped glyph describes how you handle that cycle.Aspects to Cer...

Venus in Aquarius: What to Expect

What's Up:   Take note, Venus is in Aquarius from March 5th to April 5th in 2014.  The fresh air whirls around in love and friendship, with Venus in this air sign.  This follows a long, 'heavy' time with Venus in Capricorn (early Nov 2013 to March 5th).  The 2014 March forecast features Venusian behavior, with aspects that free relationships from deeply ingrained patterns.  A key word is freedom, to update our social lives, to align with who we've become and are becoming.  Social Buzz Venus has been under the influence of Saturn, the planet of responsibility while in Capricorn.  Now the love planet has some  breathing room  in this air sign--  what's favored is meeting others in a friendly, detached way. The Venus Aquarius  natives  are restless, and ready to break with convention.  The same tired way of engaging, stilted etiquette and the habits of being  politicall...

The Sun Signs and Friendship

Friendship is an essential part of our lives and sometimes friends matter more than our immediate family and its members. It is said that even the Devil has his own friends. In astrology the 11th house is said to rule friends and their relationships. Astrology gives much importance to relationships like spouses, partners or lovers but friendship related issues are usually shooed off. But in this age where divorce rates are going over the roof friendship is what makes people to remain glued together come what may. Apart from the 11th house, the 4th, 5th and the 7th houses also have their say in friendship. Some astrologers say that the 11th house is a social house. The 3rd-house friendships are with neighbors, the 4th house rules friends with whom we live and are part of the our family, 5th-house friendships are with people we go out and have fun with, 7th-house friends are particularly close and in a partnership, and 9th-house friendships are those we form in educational situatio...
