I received a few emails from clients asking me about a news story talking about the dissappoinment of Serena Williams's love life. This article has made many women feel like they have no hope if a strong female role model physically and financially cannot attain her soulmate.
Christine of NY asked " What the heck am I trying for ? If Serena can't have a good love life, what makes me think I can ?"
Danielle of Westmont, IL asked " Did you see this article about Serena, do I have hope ?"
First of all, we don't try to meet a soulmate. All soulmate relationships that are destined to be on your path do not take trying. This means when you are on your right path in life you will meet the right people. When you are not and you find yourself " pushing" to meet someone, this offers the kind of relationship where you will inevitably feel you will grow out of this and want something more.
Serena was born 9/26/81. Strictly reading her love relationship aspects only. This individual is destined to be with a man significantly older by 10-12 yrs older who is not in the entertainment industry. That will revolve in a career around writing and has a strong knowledge of the financial industry. He is also a philanthropist. Currently, she is not on her relationship path. It will be two years until she meets him. She still is busy with other endeavors that revolve around the long term branding of her years of hard work.
Just because someone is with their soulmate, it doesn't mean you will not be.
Just because someone who has more than you appears to be disconnected from a significant love life, it doesn't determine your success. Just because they have or have not has absolutely nothing to do with you. There is no comparison. We are taught early in life about measuring ourselves against each other when we are in school or playing sports or by family members who compare the success of other relatives and siblings.
The only measure that works is when we ask ourselves, am I where I want to be? We can only compete against ourselves. Not against anyone else.
