Astrological Overview until Feb. 01

Expect to assert your individuality in the most "in-your-face" way this week. Thankfully, it'll be well received, and even understood by others, because it's likely everyone else will have their avant-garde hat on, too. The big news this week, however, is that Venus will turn direct after having been retrograde since December 21.

Wednesday, Jan. 29: Sun in Aquarius sextile Uranus

On Wednesday, the Sun in Aquarius will be at a friendly angle to Uranus, amplifying the "weird" vibes for everyone. While it's true that sometimes Sun-Uranus energy is prone to erratic, rebellious behavior, that won't be the case this time around. In fact, it's unlikely that anyone will scoff at you for daring to be different.

Thursday, Jan. 30: New Moon in Aquarius

What makes this even more remarkable is that Thursday's New Moon in Aquarius will offer an opportunity to launch a personal endeavor that has "innovation" written all over it. What is your greatest aspiration? This is the New Moon to wish upon if you want it to come true.
Of course, it'll take more than a wish to make your dreams come true, but if you plant the seeds of intention following this lunation you'll have a pretty good head start. In addition, if you're considering launching a new website, social media page or even your very own YouTube channel or webinar series, this will be the New Moon to assist you.

Friday, Jan. 31: Venus Direct, Mercury in Pisces, Jupiter opposite Pluto

Even with all of this electrifying energy in the air, the headline news won't arrive until Friday, with Venus Direct in Capricorn. Venus Retrograde lasted more than a month, but now Sleeping Beauty is finally awake, and although she may be groggy for a few days, you can count on her powers as the lesser benefic of the zodiac to return shortly.
Matters of the heart and money, as well as your self-worth concept, have all undergone a weighty revision over the last few weeks. Now it's be time to implement what you've learned. With Mercury entering Pisces and a potent Jupiter-Pluto opposition on the same day, you'll have the ability to make anything happen, and the conscience to assure you're using your power for good.

I know only that I awoke restless and rarely feel that. The year has been so good for mine house house this month that we pray it continues on. perhaps by starting something new, as the article suggests?

Ceres and Our Inner Emotional Life

Ceres connections in synastry can reveal how one person accepts (or doesn’t) their partner’s nurturing. “Nurturing” is defined as caring for someone, and fostering their growth. Ceres (or Demeter) is named after the Goddess of the crops. She had a daughter (Persephone) and they were close. So close, in fact, that Ceres never wanted to let her go. Then Pluto (or Hades) kidnapped Persephone and dragged her off to the Underworld. Ceres’ grief was intense. In retaliation, she denied mankind their food by making the crops wither and die; she was hurting, so everyone else would as well. A deal was eventually struck with Pluto, and Persephone was allowed to spend part of the year above ground, with her mother. This was when Ceres allowed the crops to grow. When Persephone spent the rest of the year below ground, the crops were dormant. So Ceres’ cycle of growth and loss reflects the cycle of life. In your chart, her sickle-shaped glyph describes how you handle that cycle.Aspects to Cer...

When You Should Get Your Birth Chart Done

Have you ever gotten your 'chart done'? In the field of astrology, a 'chart' is a representation that demonstrates the position of the planets, Sun and moon at a particular moment in time. The position of each planet, its movement and relationship with other celestial bodies can give an astrologer insight as to the influences in play at that particular time. There are 5 times in life when you should consider having a chart drawn up. When You Discover Astrology Once you discover the field of astrology, it’s a worthwhile investment to get a natal chart done. Everyone’s chart is unique because a full chart deals with not just your birth date, but the specific minute and location of your birth. Some people try to draw up their own natal charts using a website or book—and while this might give you an accurate plotting of the chart, only someone trained and experienced in astrology can truly interpret it. There is more to interpreting a chart than just reading a l...

What Does the Number 666 Actually Mean

666. The Mark of the Beast, the Antichrist, the Devil’s number. Seeing it strikes fear in the hearts of many, while others find it simply amusing. Whatever your viewpoint, this number always seems to draw attention and controversy. Most commonly associated with the Bible in the Book of Revelations (13:17-18), 666 can be symbolic of many things and have multiple meanings. In the realm of numerology is 666 really all that evil? What’s in a Number? To paraphrase Shakespeare, What’s in a number? That which we call evil by any other number would still be bad. Numbers are often used as symbols, but what really counts is the intention behind them. Numbers in and of themselves are neither good nor bad. It is we who assign meaning to them. After all if you had a winning lottery ticket with 666 on it, would you object? The Many Interpretations and Representations of 666 Either way, numbers can be looked upon for guidance in our lives. The ancient Greek philosopher Pythagoras was a tr...
